With the help of my boyfriend (who did all the html and layout part) I renewed my personal site: www.eugeal.eu
It's in italian only for now

Last year, at the end of March, I wrote the last word on my novel.
A whole year passed while my boyfriend and me edited it until it was ready for publishing.
Ten days ago it was finally ready and I ordered 15 copies of it from Lulu.com. I'll keep 5 of them for me and my relatives, the other ten copies will go to the main Italian editors with the hope it will be published.
I shouldn't say it, but I'm proud of my novel and I really hope it can become a real book
Becoming a writer has been my dream for all my life, so cross your fingers for me in the hope it could become true.

It's a lot I don't update my juornal, but I'm still here.
It's been a few months I have both writer's block and art block, so I haven't been very active on Deviantart.
I wish it will pass soon and I can start writing again.
The funny thing is that after 15-16 years, my obsession with Indiana Jones is back
For Xmas I got a lot of Indy stuff (books, action figures, Lego playsets) and it's so cool!
When I was 15 I was madly in love with Rene Belloq, Indiana Jones' rival from Raiders of the Lost Ark. It's funny to see that now that I'm 31 I still like him a lot

Facebook is a really addictive site and it's funny. I never liked much Myspace, but facebook is cool. Is you want to be my friend on facebook, search for my nickname: there are two persons with my name, but I'm the one who has  "Eugeal" as middle name (of course that's not my middle name, but I put it there so people can recognize me.)

I am not feeling bad anymore (except for the house that is still to be cleaned, but I'm working on it ).
On monday I spent a nice day with my boyfriend (it was our anniversary, 8 years we are together) and our dog: we went to Verona and spent the afternoon walking around the city.
As you can see from the webcam, today they are putting the stands for S.Lucia's market.

They sell sweets, toys, scarfs and hats, Xmas decoration and a lot of nice stuff.
In north Italy, children believe that S.Lucia will come on december 13th to bring them dishes full of sweets and gifts. The market in the main square of the city is a tradition of Verona in the days before december 13th
I grew up in Rome were S.Lucia didn't bring gifts to children, I only got presents from Babbo Natale (Santa Claus) and the Befana (she's an old woman, looking like a witch, who flies on a broom and brings sweets and little toys in the stockings that children hang on fireplaces (or under the tree if they don't have a fireplace)).
When I was a child I was SO jealous of my cousin who lived in Milan and got presents from Santa Claus, from the Befana and from S.Lucia too
A few days ago we went to the pet shop to buy food for Kira and we noticed that they were selling S.Lucia dishes for dogs. Of course we bought one for Kira too and on december 13th she will find it under our Xmas tree. In the dish there is a plastic toy, chocolate for dogs, treats, and leather bones she can chew
